Fishing

For Labor Day we wanted to take the boys fishing for the first time so we decided to just go to Farmington Pond. Of course since we were on a shoreline the boys pretty much just wanted to throw rocks in the water.
Even though we didn't catch anything we all had a lot of fun and they thought it was so neat to reel in the fishing line.

They already have attitude about having their picture taken, twerps!

There were a bunch of geese there that were not afraid of people and my kids were going crazy trying to get them. Gavin especially loved them and anytime I tried to take him away he would throw a huge fit.
My poor boy's mom didn't even think to bring bread so they could feed the ducks, but some cute girl there took pity on them and kept sharing her bread. They thought feeding them was the coolest thing ever and even tried to get them to eat it out of their hands.
After fishing we went and got some lunch at Subway and went to the park to eat.
I still can not get over how fearless Gavin is. He wanted to do everything his brothers were and more. There were puddles of water at the bottoms of all of the slides, but Gavin could have cared less! He was soaking wet. Other kids would go down and cry because they got wet, Gavin acted like it was nothing out of the ordinary.

What a fun day! The only fishing my kids have done (or probably ever will do) is at the trout farm on school fieldtrips. At least they are guaranteed to catch something. :)
